Ramblin’ Woman

This is one of my closest friends up here in Alaska, and her shared dog, Keta. Keta is a rescued dog that was brought up to Alaska,
and adopted into a safe and very loving home. Where, as you can see, she is clearly adored. The name “Keta”comes from the scientific
name for Dog Salmon. Keta Salmon have greenish-blue backs with silver splashes in the tail. Sweet Keta, the dog, is a little camera shy. – 6/10/10

I’m heading back to Alaska for the summer, and I just wanted to post a few pics from Hawaii. – 5/4/10

I recently spent some time with friends from Alaska who came to visit Hawaii. One of the days they were here, we explored Waipio Valley. I’d almost forgotten how beautiful it is down there. Talk about living in paradise! – 4/14/10

For the past 7 seven years, I’ve been living in Southeast Alaska. A few months ago, we decided to take some time to live closer to my side of the family in good ol’ sunny Hawaii. Here are a few pictures of life in Alaska.

I stare in silence at the pictures in the frame, and remember those moments, reliving them again. As though so many yesterdays were alive once more, and I, the memory maker, knocking hopeful at their door.   –  written 6/28/97
